A Great Town Deserves A Great Library!

The Jeudevine Project: Proud Past ♦ Bright Futurefacebook 256

Solution: More Space

The Jeudevine Project addresses the Library's current challenges by constructing an addition. This gives JML totally accessible and flexible space to serve Hardwick for the Next One Hundred Years.

  • Flexible community gathering areas both inside and outside
  • Space for more people to attend programs without limiting other library activities at the same time
  • Flexible space to allow more programs, expanded collections, and accessibility for all
  • Separate and expanded adult area for quiet reading, thinking and computer use
  • Expanded children's area, collections and activities
  • Welcoming space for teens to meet friends, read, enjoy special classes or meetings
  • Additional computer access with more privacy
  • Flexible design that can be used as needed for maker spaces, small business incubators, resource centers, distance learning and much more

The Jeudevine Project provides desperately needed space to better serve the people of Hardwick and surrounding areas who have supported us for over a century.

The new addition is designed in harmony with the historic traditions upon which the Jeudevine was built and does not significantly alter the integrity and spirit of the original building.

The entire library complex will be as energy-efficient as possible to allow us to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
